Host Permission for https://news.ycombinator.com/*: This permission allows the extension to add a checkbox next to each article on the Hacker News website. This is the core feature of the extension and it cannot function without the ability to interact with the page.

4. Data Security
The security of your saved data relies on the security of your own computer and your Google Chrome profile. The extension itself does not add any extra layers of encryption; it simply uses the secure, sandboxed storage provided by the Chrome browser.
